he long-awaited prom night is near and you still don't have a date. Girls are either taken or they're just too tall for you. If you search online, you'll see thousands of websites claiming their exercises such as stretching are the answer to your problem. Unfortunately, this isn't quite true. Yes, stretching can warm up your body but it doesn't contribute to the goal you had in mind. Any procedure promising to make you grow taller after puberty is just a hoax. Don't give into these scams as they are simply trying to rip off your money.
To clear up the confusion on why exercise won't work, let's discuss how one gains height. Did you know that infants have more bones compared to adults? Babies have more bones because they have soft connecting tissue or cartilage which eventually becomes less in number as it fuses to form solid bone during puberty. At the end of this stage in one's life cycle, elongation of bones stops and no form of medicine or therapy can ever make them expand again.
And finally, to make things clearer, exercise is a help but in a different way. If you are still going through growth changes, make sure to perform regular exercises because once puberty ends, you can no longer rely on exercise to increase your height. But if you're already done with the growth process, exercise isn't totally useless as it contributes to better health. Exercise also keeps you from gaining weight, and slim and more muscular people tend to look taller.
Proper diet also plays an important role in achieving good health and getting taller. Foods rich in calories, amino acids, protein, and calcium aren't only effective when you're young; they will also prevent you from getting bone diseases and possible bone shrinkage as you grow older.
Your clothing can also help you look taller. Dark shirts matched with dark pants can be slimming. Avoid pairing up dark pants with light-colored shorts. The contrast draws attention to your waist and thus makes you look shorter. Short hair makes your neck look longer. It is suggested to wear heeled boots or sandals as your footwear.
